COURSE DESCRIPTION:
These research projects were undertaken by undergraduate students enrolled in a senior research seminar for history majors in the Federated History Department of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers-Newark. The seminar was titled History 490: Environmental Inequality in Postwar America, and it focused on environmental justice in the post-World War II United States.
For this class each student identified a site where environmental inequality and injustice took place, and then conducted research and wrote a final paper on the site.
Please note that this class took place during the COVID-19 emergency, and the entire semester, including the students’ research, was conducted online.
